The Duchess' day was reportedly a quite affair after a busy few months, but we're sure her loving husband spoilt her.
And of course no birthday would be complete without a cake - and there was a very, very important story behind the delicious one Meghan had to mark her special day.
Luminary Bakery in Stoke Newington, north-east London, was tasked with creating a cake for the royal occasion, reports Hello! magazine.
Meghan is a huge fan of the bakery and even features it in the Forces of Change Vogue edition, which she guest edited.
It runs as a social enterprise, offering women the change to train to build a different future from themselves with through courses, work experience and paid employment.
The website states: "We provide a safe and professional environment where women can grow holistically – encouraging ambition, restoration and second chances.
"We use baking as a tool to take women on a journey to employability and entrepreneurship, equipping them with transferrable skills for the working world.
"By investing in and releasing them to realise their dreams - through training, employment and community, we aim to break cycles of poverty, violence & disadvantage once and for all."
